We had fun working with our fellow Rio Texas Conference friends checking hygiene kits and flood buckets at the UMCOR warehouse in Kerrville!

We had a great time visiting the Eckert Bat Cave in June and will make another trip Aug. 2! Meet in the church parking lot at 7pm!

Youth Group meets Sundays 5:30-7:30pm at the church! Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us! We will be meeting next Oct. 5 at church, then Fields of Faith is Oct. 12th . Join us!

On Sunday mornings, we have many opportunities for children to learn about the love God has for them. Sunday school classes begin at 9:45 am and are broken down into Pre-K/Kindergarten & 1st; 2nd-5th grades; Junior High (6th-8th gr.) and High School (9th-12th grades). All of the classrooms are found on the second floor of the education wing. Worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. Children serve as acolytes and there is a children’s sermon as well. Children’s activity packets are also available for all children during worship.

Sunday school for the Jr. High (6th- 8th grade) and High School is from 9:45-10:45 a.m. The classrooms are on the second story of the education wing. The youth also occasionally serve in the worship services as ushers and lay readers.
Confirmation is available for anyone in sixth grade on up, who has not yet been a part of a Confirmation class.

This group served in San Marcos, Tx June 22nd to 28th along with 117 other servants. They helped to finish 52 sites, including 27 ramp projects.

Part of the way that UMARMY promotes leadership is throught the Youth Advisory Board. These students serve in leadership roles at the various camps in our region, allowing them to serve as role models for their peers and learn how camps are led. Our very own Grace Gonzales (pictured above ) and Grace Klaerner (not pictured) served as Junior YABS this summer.

Follow this link if you would like to learn more out our program. There is a great video on this page that explains a little more about what a week at camp looks like. Deandra serves as the President of our regional board and is happy to answer any questions you may have.

The work that we do for our clients is done at no cost to them. Participants pay $275 to attend the week and this fee covers many of the costs of the week. There are additional costs such as gas, extra supplies, and food. If you would like to make a donation to help our mission trip, please contact Deandra familyministries@fumcmason.org.

July 6-12 an "army" of workers from U.M.ARMY was in Mason County serving people in need! These servants came from Johnson City, Fredricksburg, Austin, and Dallas. FUMC served as their "home" for the week as they worked, rested, played and worshipped daily. Thank you UMARMY for the 14 sites they were able to complete and the many lives they touched in our community!
